The Problem
As you can see in the BEFORE image, this marble bust was very dirty, having been exposed to the elements in an outdoor area. The Detroit owners of the piece were hesitant to let just any stone restoration company work on it, thinking it might be damaged in the process.
The Solution
Stone Restoration Services has a shop for specialized stone restoration projects like this. The owners of this bust brought the piece to us. We used a very mild pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaner and painstakingly cleaned the bust by hand, utilizing small, non-abrasive cleaning tools, as needed.
